Mumbai (Maharashtra), Dec 21 (ANI): Eight people suffered injuries when a stampede broke out late night on Thursday during a concert held at Mumbai’s Mithibai College. The injured were admitted to the nearby hospital. Senior Police Inspector of Juhu police station Pandharinath Wavhal said, “This particular event was happening in the open ground of college. Laterwards, students from outside the college too came to attend the event but they were not having passes of the event. So, they might have tried to jump from the wall and in mid of all this they got injured.” “Four injured have given preliminary treatment and they are being discharged now and rest four students are still under observation. It was not at all a matter of stampede but due to excess of rush all this happened and if there was any negligence then we will take cognisance of the same in this matter”, he added.
