Absconding constable’s second accomplice arrested in J&K

Shopian, Jammu And Kashmir, Jan 23 (ANI): The security forces arrested a youth in Jammu and Kashmir and recovered AK-47 rifle, one magazine and 30 rounds of ammunition from his possession. The youth, identified as Aqib Basher Dar, was arrested from Shopian district in a joint operation conducted by the district police and paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).Dar is accomplice of police constable Shakoor Parray, who had recently fled with four AK-47 rifles from Anantnag district.Meanwhile, another youth identified as Gazi Fayaz Dar was also arrested. Police recovered one AK-47 rifle and three magazines from him.Senior Superintendent of Police Altaf Khan said the arrest was made before both of them could join any militant outfit.It’s good that police and security forces together arrested the youth who were being indoctrinated and turned into militants.Meanwhile, Dar said he returned after thinking about his parents.We went and joined the militants but did not like and returned… That our parents are in trouble.When asked if Shakoor had planned any attack, Dar said ‘No, he did not.’
Meanwhile, police are looking for Parray, who is still at large.
