‘Angry’ Hansal Mehta shows ‘Aligarh’s ‘A’ certified trailer in protest
Mumbai, Jan 29 (ANI): ‘Bollywood director Hansal Mehta has expressed his anger towards the Censor Board’s decision to give an A certificate to his latest flick ‘Aligarh’. Speaking at the trailer launch of his film, a disappointed Mehta said the Censor Board is behaving like a homophobic society. The film’s lead actor Manoj Bajpai, who was also present at the event, did not hesitate to express his opinion. Mehta revealed that they have got the proposal of A certificate from the Censor Board but they have not accepted it. The story of ‘Aligarh’ revolves around a middle-aged homosexual professor Shrinivas Ramchandra Siras played by Manoj Bajpai. The team is promoting the movie with the hashtag “comeout”. ‘Aligarh’ was earlier supposed to be released in October 2015, but the film will now hit the theatres on February 26.
