Army rescues flood-stricken people from swelled-up Satna

Satna (MP), Aug 20 (ANI): With heavy rainfall throughout this monsoon season, a flood-like situation was seen in most parts of Madhya Pradesh with water entering residential areas. As many as 25,000 people have been affected by the situation and over 80 villages have submerged in Rewa and Satna districts so far. The situation is so bleak that army helicopter has reached Satna to rescue the people stranded in flood-affected areas of the region. Reportedly, Mandakini River, Tamas River and Sihawal River have crossed the danger mark.
