“Very happy to come away with a win here in Toulon. It was very light, difficult conditions on both days, we had a very good day on Saturday but it was really nice to back it up today and to take the win here.”

29. ARTEMIS TEAM CELEBRATING

STORY: Sweden’s Artemis Racing team held on to their lead to win the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series event in Toulon on Sunday (September 11).

Following on from a strong performance on Saturday (September 10), Artemis opened the day’s races well, winning the first race. Despite crossing the line in fifth position in the event’s final race they had already done enough to claim overall victory.

Softbank Team Japan, who finished the first day in last position, put in an incredible day of sailing to finish second overall.

Britain’s Land Rover BAR team finished the event in third place, a result which extends their overall lead in the America’s Cup World Series to 14 points.
