‘Bajirao Mastani’ wins big at 61st Filmfare

Mumbai, Jan 16 (ANI): The occasion was 61st Filmfare Awards when Bollywood stars descended on red carpet to celebrate the best movies we saw in 2015. Bollywood star Ranveer Singh, as expected, bagged the Best Actor (male) for his leading role in magnum opus ‘Bajirao Mastani’. Deepika Padukone grabbed the Best Actor (female) for her role in ‘Piku’. Priyanka Chopra, who was unable to attend the star-studded event because of her American sitcom ‘Quantico’, won the award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role (female) for her role in ‘Bajirao Mastani.’ Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ was undoubtedly the big winner of 61st Filmfare Awards after collecting several awards in different categories. Anil Kapoor won the Best Supporting Actor for his flick ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’. Best Debut Male went to Sooraj Pancholi for ‘Hero’ and Bhumi Pednekar took home the Best Debut Female award for ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’. The 61st Filmfare Awards took place in India’s showbiz capital Mumbai on January 16.
