Berlin paid tribute to the victims of the Orlando nightclub shooting on Saturday (June 18) by lighting up the Brandenburg Gate with rainbow colors.
Several thousand people gathered for a vigil at the German capital’s landmark to pay their respects to the victims of the massacre and show support for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.
Forty-nine people were killed and 53 others were wounded at the Pulse nightclub on Sunday (June 12) before the gunman what shot dead by police. It was the worst mass shooting in recent U.S. history.
