New Delhi, Dec 31 (ANI): 2016 saw many shades of grey with host of celebs being trolled on the social media. From Prime Minister Narendra Modi to actor Kareena Kapoor Khan’s baby Taimur, social media remained abuzz as trolls kept ‘Twitterati’ busy with hilarious, absurd and unconventional memes. Prime Minister Narendra Modi became a butt of ridicule following the announcement on demonetisation on November 8. While banks struggled to recover their loans from liquor baron Vijay Mallya, twitter went berserk with trolls about the former Kingfisher Airlines chairman. Controversy’s favourite child, how could our very own Raga be spared? Whenever he opened his mouth to speak on issues gripping the nation, be it demonetisation or critiquing the government, the Congress vice-president was shutdown with a huge blow. The Chief Minister of Delhi who has been a familiar face on the social media thanks to his iconograph of a ‘muffler man’ was shown his place after he made a much controversial remark on PM Modi over his demonetisation move. Put the blame and the problem gets solved apparently. This is what happened with actor Anushka Sharma, who was trolled for Indian Cricket skipper Virat Kohli’s bad performance on the cricket ground. Mrs. Funnybones isn’t so funny when it comes to netizens, who recently trolled the former actor-turned-columnist for her remarks on actor Salman Khan’s marriage. Bollywood actors Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan weren’t spared from trolls and came under fire from social media users over naming of their newborn son, Taimur.
