BSE closes 157.51 points up on December 31

New Delhi, Dec 31 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 157.51 points up to stand at 26,117.54. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 50.10 points up to stand at 7,946.35. Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited and Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited were among the top gainers of group A with an increase of 2.42 percent and 2.34 percent along with GAIL (India) Limited and HCL Technologies Limited with an increase of 2.12 percent and 2.08 percent respectively, while the top losers of group A includes Punjab National Bank and Vedanta Limited with a decrease of 1.53 percent and 1.36 percent along with Axis Bank Limited and Yes Bank Limited with a decrease of 1.18 percent and 1.13 percent at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is up 33.57 points at 18519.08 while the Banking sector is up 17.88 points at 19328.74 and the Realty sector is up 20.11 points at 1344.33.The Indian currency was down with 0.31 percent at Rs 66.18 per dollar.
