Clinton: “If not paying taxes makes (Trump) smart, what does that make the rest of us?”

STORY: Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton at a rally in Iowa said rival Donald Trump “Is proud of the fact that he lets everybody else pay taxes, that makes him smart,” adding, “Well if not paying taxes makes him smart what does that make the rest of us?”
“As his own campaign manager said about him, Donald Trump has built a lot of business on the backs of the little guy — her words,” Clinton said. “All that work, and then to be told we are not going to pay toy, or maybe we will pay you ten cents on the dollar, or 20 cents on the dollar,” she said. “I just don’t believe that’s the way we are supposed to treat each other in America, and that sure is not the way our President should be treating our citizens in our country,” she said.
Recent opinion polls have shown the race tightening between Clinton, a former secretary of state, U.S. senator and first lady, and Trump, a New York real estate magnate.
A majority of Americans say Clinton won Monday night’s presidential debate, but her performance does not appear to have boosted support among likely voters, according to a Reuters/Ipsos national tracking poll released on Wednesday.
The online poll found that 56 percent of American adults felt Clinton did a better job, compared with 26 percent who believed the Republican did better.
Even so, Clinton’s performance seemed to have little impact on her support. The poll showed 42 percent supported her, while 38 percent backed Trump.
