Cyrus Mistry steps down from Tata companies, to fight against Ratan Tata’s ‘illegal coup’
Mumbai, Dec 19 (ANI): After a bitter eight-week boardroom battle, ousted Tata Sons Chairman Cyrus Mistry on Monday step down from the Tata companies and vowed to shift his fight to a larger platform against Ratan Tata’s “illegal coup”. I have decided to shift from the forum of the EGMs to a larger platform and also one where the rule of law and equity is upheld, said Mistry in a recorded statement. Mistry said his attempt to protect and preserve the ethical legacy of the founding father, Jamsetji Tata, has been the real cause behind his ouster.
