Video from a dashboard camera caught the moments leading up to a dramatic fire rescue on Monday (December 28) in York, Pennsylvania.

According to the York Daily Record, volunteer York Township Volunteer Fire Chief Nate Tracey arrived first at the scene of a car that had crashed into a utility pole and was engulfed in flames.

Tracey is seen on video rushing to the car, opening the car door and dragging the driver across the road, before other firefighters arrive and extinguish the flames.

The driver, who sustained head injuries and smoke inhalation, was taken to a hospital where he is expected to recover, the newspaper reported.
