Days after farmer suicide at AAP rally, man attempts suicide at another rally in Delhi
New Delhi, April 28 (ANI): In a grim recreation of the scene of a farmer’s suicide at a rally in New Delhi, a man climbed atop a tree in a bid to commit suicide during a rally organized by the youth wing of Congress. The rally was organised to protest the amendments to the land acquisition legislation proposed by the incumbent government led by BJP. The land acquisition legislation was first brought in by the erstwhile UPA government led by the Congress. Members of Youth Congress, led by party leader Randeep Surjewala, along with farmers carrying stacks of wheat harvest shouted slogans against Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. However, this protest, held at Parliament Street- in the heart of the city, was brought to an abrupt halt when a man climbed a tree and tried to commit suicide while shouting slogans.
