‘Deeksha Divas’ observed to recall K Chandrasekhar Rao’s struggle for Telangana formation
New Delhi, Nov 29 (ANI): Workers of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) on Tuesday observed ‘Deeksha Divas’ in memory of state’s Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to recall his fast-unto death which led to the uprise of Telangana as a separate state. Rao begun his indefinite fast on November 29th in 2009. During the event, the workers paid respects to Professor Jayashankar, the ideologue of Telangana movement. The Chief Minister’s daughter and Member of Parliament K. Kavitha was also present at the function held at Telangana Bhawan in the national capital.
