Delhi Jal Board shuts two plants,water shortage predicted

Several parts of the capital, including Lutyens Delhi and central Delhi, are likely to face water shortage as the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has temporarily shut two of its water treatment plants (WTPs). The DJB decided to shut the WTPs in Chandrawal and Wazirabad after the level of ammonia in the raw water supply from Yamuna river rose to nearly 2.6 milligrams per litre.
