Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurates Eastern India’s first CNG station

Bhubaneswar (Odisha), Dec 16 (ANI): Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated Eastern India’s first Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations at Bhubaneswar on Saturday. “For the 1st time, happy and clean fuel CNG has been introduced in transportation sector, a new year gift to Odisha from PM Modi. With CNG in 2-wheeler & auto-rickshaws, fuel rates will be reduced by 30-40%,” Pradhan said. During the event, Pradhan also launched CNG-run scooters in city. In coming years, 50 CNG stations will be commissioned in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack to supply CNG to vehicles. The CNG network will run in ten districts of the state.
