“Avengers: Age of Ultron” stars Chris Evans and Jeremy Renner have started a social media firestorm for their comments about Scarlett Johansson’s character Black Widow. During an interview with Digital Spy, the actors made disparaging remarks about Black Widow’s sexuality. The comments have angered some people who have called the remarks sexist, while others have called it an overblown reaction to a joke. Both actors released statements apologizing for their comments.

Nicole Kidman will return to the London stage. The actress will play scientist Rosalind Franklin in “Photograph 51,” a play about a woman involved in the discovery of DNA’s double helix in the 1950s. Kidman is no stranger to the London stage, but it has been a while since she last performed there; seventeen years ago she earned rave reviews for her West End debut in “The Blue Room.”

Jackie Chan hit the red carpet in China for the closing ceremony of the fifth annual Beijing International Film Festival. The actor greeted fans along the way and received thunderous applause from the crowd. Chan was there to present the award to the fest’s winning film, which went to Mexico’s “Beginning of Time.”
