Failure not welcomed in film fraternity, says Karan Johar

New Delhi, Jan 22 (ANI): Bollywood ace director Karan Johar opened up about his ‘hard times’ during a talk session at the Jaipur Literature Festival.Karan said like other families, even he had seen failures, and has literally seen his father crying in front of him because of not being a part of any prominent events of the industry.He said it is a heart-breaking sight to go through failure after huge success but it is worse than having no success at all.The director added that he has also seen times when his parents did not have money to send him overseas for further studies, but he feels that his decision to stay in his own country and make things alright has made him what he is today.Other topics in the conversation included Johar’s obsessions with film songs, his inability to be expressive on celluloid and the importance of following dreams.
