FDI is ‘First Develop India’: PM Modi calls on overseas Indians for investment

Sharing is Caring

Bengaluru, Jan 08 (ANI): Counting on the liberalised economic norms for NRIs, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday called onto the overseas Indian community to invest in India, saying that FDI not only stands for ‘Foreign Direct Investment’ but for ‘First Develop India.’ Asserting that the NRIs can work for common man’s development across India, the Prime Minister urged the community to strengthen Indian ties with the overseas economies. PM Modi was addressing a group of overseas Indians at the 14th edition of the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in Bengaluru. Launched by the Vajpayee government in 2003, the event provides a platform to the state and Centre Governments to interact with the Indian diaspora settled abroad.
