STORY: The Rotterdam derby on Saturday (November 28) finished with a 4-2 win for Feyenoord and a first hat trick for Michiel Kramer since joining the club this season.

Feyenoord captain Dirk Kuyt became joint top scorer in the Eredivisie less than two minutes after kick-off when he headed in a rebound.

It was more than half an hour before Kramer got his first, the 195 cm (6’5″) former Den Haag player heading Rick Karsdorp’s shot into the net.

Excelsior pulled one back when midfielder Jeff Stans crossed for unmarked forward Daryl van Mieghem to tap into an undefended net in the 44th minute.

Kramer’s second goal came 10 minutes after the re-start, when he headed in a Karsdorp cross.

Sixteen minutes later he pounced on a defensive error for his hat trick.

Excelsior forward Tom van Weert ran onto a through ball for a consolation goal in the 86th minute.
