A new action-packed trailer for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is offering fans the longest look yet at the upcoming film, although it also sparked a rush of bookings which crashed at least one online ticket seller. Linda So reports.

It’s what every Star Wars fan has been waiting to see.
A sneak peak at the upcoming movie.
Episode seven, “The Force Awakens” will debut in movie theaters on December 18th.
But on Monday night, fans were given the longest look at the film in an action-packed trailer that sparked a rush of online ticket sales.

“Fandango crashed, I tried to make it work on the app, it didn’t work. I tried to make it work online; it didn’t work.”
SOUNDBITE: IAN HENDERSON, STAR WARS FAN, SAYING:
“We tried to get them online. There was no way.”
SOUNDBITE: KATIE MORELLO, STAR WARS FANS, SAYING:
“The website had crashed and we were like hope so we sprinted over here.”
“The Force Awakens” brings back actors Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher.
There’s also some new faces.

“My mom waited in line at Hollywood to see the very first Star Wars and she her button that says “may the force be with you.” So it’s a tradition in my family.”
The final Star Wars movie is expected to generate $2 billion globally….demonstrating the franchise is still a FORCE to be reckoned with.
