Five lose vision after faulty eye surgery

Dharamshala, Dec 22 (ANI): Five patients, who had undergone a cataract surgery in Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district, were yet to regain their vision, said a doctor. The five patients were operated upon for the disease at the Rajender Prasad Medical College. Doctor Vinay Mahajan said the patients were recalled and given treatment for an infection they had developed after the operation. He further said the samples of the patients were sent for examination and the reports were awaited. Three of the patients were referred to a special hospital in Maranda town, while two others were referred to Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, where they were being treated.
