French tourists stranded in quake-hit Nepal seek help

Kathmandu, April 26 (ANI): French tourists stranded in Nepal, which was hit by a massive earthquake on Saturday killing over 1,900, sought assistance to go back to their country. The 7.9 magnitude quake struck at midday on Saturday at a busy time of year for the tourism-reliant country’s trekking and climbing season, with an estimated 300,000 foreign tourists in the country. A group of French tourists stranded in Kathmandu said they are without phone and internet connection. Some of them haven’t even contacted their families for over 20 hours. Meanwhile, another French tourist Caroline said they didn’t get any assistance from the French Embassy also.
