Friendship between India-Pakistan essential for J&K people: Farooq Abdullah

Sharing is Caring

Srinagar (J&K), Sep 08 (ANI): Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah on Saturday said that the media’s coverage on Punjab Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu’s visit to Pakistan was irresponsible and showed lack of willingness for Indian-Pakistan relations to improve. While addressing an event, Farooq Abdullah said, “The manner in which media targeted Sidhu shows there are elements which do not want India and Pakistan relations to improve.” He added, “There is a vested interest, both in India and Pakistan which do not want peace in both countries. But for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, friendship between India and Pakistan is very essential.”
