Family and colleagues bid farewell to 45-year-old Joseph Lemm in New York City.
He was a 15-year veteran of the New York City Police Department.
Lemm was one of six Americans killed by a suicide bomber on December 22 while serving in Afghanistan.
He was serving a tour as an Air National Guard Technical Sergeant.
More than 2,300 U.S. troops have died in the Afghanistan war since 2001.
