German, Chinese aid workers arrive in Nepal
Kathmandu, April 29 (ANI): Disaster relief workers from Germany and China arrived in Nepal’s earthquake-stricken capital of Kathmandu. More aid and assistance has begun to trickle into the mountainous country shattered by a massive earthquake at the weekend. A team of 52 German rescuers arrived at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. More than 20 volunteers from China’s Blue Sky Rescue Team also arrived on the same day. Blue Sky Rescue Team is not an official rescue team sent by the Chinese government, but it is loosely connected to the Chinese Red Cross. China has already sent an official 60-strong emergency team to help with rescue operations. While international aid has finally begun arriving in the Himalayan nation of 28 million people, disbursement is slow.
