Government holds Third “car-free day” to clean Delhi air
New Delhi, Dec 22 (ANI): National capital New Delhi observed its third “car-free day” to promote the idea and objective of the need for controlling air pollution and reducing traffic congestion. A one-kilometer-long cycle rally was organised from Lakshmi Nagar to Nirman Vihar in the east Delhi of the city. Provisions like parking and signage boards indicating the car-free stretch were also made. Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia were also present at the cycle rally on tuesday in an endeavour to encourage people to use public transport and help reduce pollution levels.
