Gunman shot dead in German movie theater: police
Reports of multiple injuries turned out to be false in Germany, where police say they shot a gunman who had taken hostages at a movie theater.
The incident happened at the Kinopolis complex in Viernheim, south of Frankfurt.
German TV showed dozens of armed officers storming the building, where witnesses say the gunman had opened fire.
Police say the man was shot dead.
One official said he appeared to have been “disturbed.”
Initial reports suggested at least 20 people were wounded, however, no one other than the shooter was injured.
