Guwahati/Dibrugarh, Aug 01 (ANI): Flood situation Assam state remained critical as acres of land continued to be submerged under water. Floods triggered by heavy rains have killed at least 17 people in the state. The Brahmaputra River and its tributaries had breached its embankments, affecting more than half of the region’s 32 districts. Resident of Guwahati said that no help had come from the government for them. The condition was similar in neighbouring Dibrugarh district with residents leaving their homes to take shelter in higher lands.
