Hugs, tears at vigil for murdered Ohio family
ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)
Story: Hundreds of people gathered in Pike County, Ohio, Friday night (April 29) to hold a vigil and fundraiser for eight family members shot execution-style in rural Ohio’s Appalachian foothills.
The members of the extended Rhoden family, ranging in age from 16 to 44, were shot on April 22 at four separate homes in a pre-planned, “sophisticated operation,” officials said.
19-year-old Hanna Rhoden was found dead next to her five-day-old daughter.
Estimates of the cost of the multiple funerals are in the tens of thousands and organizers said they wanted to take some of the burden off the family.
