“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2” snapped up $101 million at the box office — more than enough to bury other weeks-old competition.

Those behind the science-fiction film’s distribution say it’s all part of a timing strategy that will snag viewers throughout the holiday season.

The film starring Jennifer Lawrence is also expected to pick up more earnings globally.

In second, the latest James Bond addition — “Spectre” starring Daniel Craig, which brought in a handsome $14.6 million.

That adds to its grand total of nearly $154 million dollars in North American ticket sales since it’s debut.

From action to animation — “The Peanuts Movie” is still paying for itself through parents’ pocketbooks, earning the comic-themed film another $12.8 million — and that’s more than just peanuts.
