Republican presumptive nominee Donald Trump told a crowd of supporters in Dallas, Texas on Thursday that he will save the Second Amendment in wake of the Orlando shooting that left 49 people killed, not including the shooter.
“I just watched President Obama and he does it a lot, he does it a lot because we have one after another we have tragedy after tragedy and it’s a tough, it’s a tough situation but he’s largely to a large extent he’s blaming guns but and I’m going to save your Second Amendment folks,” Trump said.
The Republican presumptive nominee was referencing a speech U.S. President Barack Obama made after meeting with families of the victims in Orlando hours earlier, in which Obama urged lawmakers to take up new gun reform actions.
