India becoming more aspirational than its politicians, says Jaitley

Sharing is Caring

Mumbai, Aug 19 (ANI): Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said policymakers and politicians should gauge public mood before taking decisions on reforms. He termed the recent Parliament session as ‘virtually wasted’ and said governments have often been cautious of the steps for reforms, because conventional politicians believe there is also a political cost involved in this but it needed to change looking at the recent history. He also said the quality of governance did not match the aspirations of the people and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government was trying to change the scenario.
