India has no involvement in protest, says Madeshi leader

Birgunj, Nov 22 (ANI): The leader of Madeshi protest has said that India has no involvement in the protest and is making all attempts to remove the blockade on humanity grounds. Curfew was clamped in some parts of Nepal after 17 people were killed during the Madheshi protest. Prem Babu Patel, the President of Rashtriya Madhesh Samajwadi Party, said that the protests would continue till the people of Nepal do not get their rights. Several rounds of talks have been held between the agitating Madhesh Morcha and the government to seek a political solution for the demand for “adequate” statutory representation. The region has been witnessing demonstrations and protests for the past three months. Rajendra Mahato, the president of Sadbhavana Party, said it is a peaceful movement going on for a long time. However, the government is not serious about the issue. Gantantrik Vijay Mahaseth, the leader of Madheshi Janadhikar Forum, said that the government should address their demands as soon as possible and reach a logical conclusion.
