Indian ships carrying 475 evacuees from war-torn Yemen reach Kerala

Kochi, April 19 (ANI): Two Indian Navy ships carrying 475 evacuees, including 337 Bangladeshis and 65 Yemenees of Indian origin, arrived in port city Kochi from the strife-torn Yemen. The two ships, MV Kavaratti and MV Coral, docked at the southern harbour bringing back the last batch of evacuees from the war-torn nation. This is the last Indian evacuation from Yemen via sea route. The air evacuation had concluded on April 09. India pressed into service its aircrafts and navy to reach out to its citizens in the conflict zones and has reportedly repatriated 4,000 citizens so far.
