Sharing is Caring

New Delhi, April 27 (ANI): Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Monday delivered the 16th DP Kohli Memorial Lecture on ‘Economic Challenges’. Jaitley said that the CBI came into existence when there was a need for a Central investigative agency to probe the Centre. He said that nobody is expected to be perfect but the Judiciary and CBI cannot be afforded to be imperfect. Jaitley also highlighted the economic challenges faced by the country during various governments since 1991. He said that 1991 marked a process where India decided to unleash energies of its citizens rather than restrict them. Further Jaitley said that 2014 brought significant changes as after 30 years a clear mandate was given and government with virtually a single party majority was voted into power.
