Japanese trade minister calls on PM Modi

New Delhi, April 30 (ANI): Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Yoichi Miyazawa met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. Miyazawa had come with a delegation of top business leaders, who have firm plans to invest $3.0 billion in India in the immediate future. The delegation comprised top executives of companies such as Suzuki, Toyota, Honda, Toshiba, Hitachi Tsumitomo, Mitsui and Mitsubishi. This expected investment is in pursuance of the shared commitment of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Prime Minister Modi to enhance Japanese investments in India, especially in support of Modi’s “Make in India” mission. The two countries have set a target to double Japan’s direct investment in India within five years.
