Kazakhstan President welcomes world leaders at 17th SCO summit

Astana (Kazakhstan), June 09 (ANI): President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev on Friday welcomed leaders at the 17th Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit at Astana. The leaders of six-member countries took part in the summit to discuss several issues, including peace and security in the region. India is set to join as full member of the SCO, comprising China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The highlight of this year’s summit is the accession of India and Pakistan to the SCO.
