Kerala MPs stage protest over beef raid

New Delhi, Oct 27 (ANI): Kerala MPs staged a protest on Tuesday evening outside Kerala House over a ‘beef raid’ there. The ministers raised anti-government slogans and carried placards reading ‘Stop Communal Fascism’. They also alleged a conspiracy behind the entire issue. CPI leader Annie Raja attacked the Delhi Police, terming it a “B-team of the RSS”. Nearly 20 police officials went to Kerala House yesterday after Vishnu Gupta, a Hindu Sena leader, alleged that the canteen at the guest house was serving beef. However, the Kerala House authorities said they served only buffalo meat and had named it ‘beef’. Earlier, slamming the Delhi Police Kerala Chief Minister Oomen Chandy said it was the government establishment where they had barged into and not some ‘private’ hotel. Chandy later wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that the action of Delhi Police was highly objectionable, adding that they’ve clearly overstepped their brief.
