Large and in charge at pluz-sized fashion show in Tokyo
The heavy hitters of Japan’s fashion world were out in force for a plus-sized mens’ fashion show in Tokyo.
Eleven larger than life amateur models sashayed down the catwalk in clothes of more substantial sizes.
The event was sponsored by the Sakazen Shoji label, and Mr. Babe magazine… both of which cater to more robust consumers.
The organizers say, besides the clothes, the event offers a well rounded portrayal of overweight people.

“The fact that in Japan, they’re actually doing this. I wanted to be part of this because this is, kind of like, the change for showing that people are not all the small size.”
The average weight and size for an adult Japanese male is about 148 pounds and five feet four inches tall.
