Leadership programme for Tibetan students kick starts in Dharamsala
Dharamsala, Dec 27 (ANI): Over three hundred Tibetan students from India and Nepal joined a leadership workshop in Dharamshala. The department of education of Tibetan government in-exile had organised the third annual workshop in a local Tibetan Children’s Village School which was inaugurated by Tibetan Prime Minister in-exile, Lobsang Sangay. During the eight-day long workshop, the students will be taught leadership-skills, Tibetan exile, administration and qualities of leaders. Sangay felt it was important to have more and more leaders in the freedom struggle of Tibet. Students too expressed their excitement for the programme as they looked forward to serving the nation and free it from oppression of the Chinese government. China routinely rejects criticism of its policies in Tibet, saying its rule, since Communist Chinese troops, ended serfdom and brought development to a backward, poverty-stricken region.
