STORY: Public health warnings were issued on Thursday (September 13) as parts of the UK experienced a record-breaking temperature of 32 Celsius (90F), the hottest September day since 1906, according to the Met Office.
Iced treats cooled London Zoo’s animals. Meerkats enjoyed icy blocks for lunch, while the zoo’s penguins kept their cool in the pool.
