Madhesis not satisfied with Nepal government’s proposed amendment
Janakpur, Dec 23 (ANI): Madhesis expressed their concern over the government’s proposed amendments on the key issues of proportional representation and constituency delimitation for which the people of Southern Terai plain have been protesting for the last four months. In janakpur, the Madhesis formed a long human chain to protest the government’s decision. They believe that the amendments will not solve the ongoing crisis as the government is not addressing their constitutional representation on the basis of population. The Madheshis have been protesting for over four months against the new constitution which has created economic instability in the landlocked country. The Madheshis have urged the government for a constructive dialogue in order to restore peace in the region.
