Patna, Oct 28 (ANI): Accusing Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav of lowering the standard of debate during the Bihar Assembly polls, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sushil Modi on Wednesday said that the grand alliance was scared of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking to ANI’s Editor (News) Smita Prakash, he criticised Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for his silence over the derogatory remarks made by Lalu against Prime Minister Modi. The BJP leader said that when Prime Minister Modi cancelled his rally on October 16, the Mahagathbandhan went into a state of panic and did 22 rallies.When asked to comment on the BJP not declaring a chief ministerial candidate; he said that alliance is more important for the people of Bihar. Polling for the third phase of the five-phase Bihar Assembly elections began at 7 a.m. amid tight security arrangements today. A total of 808 candidates are in the fray for 50 assembly seats across Bhojpur, Buxar, Nalanda, Patna, Saran and Vaishali districts. The voting for the first two phases were held on October 12 and October 16, during which 81 assembly constituencies went to polls.
