Maize crop destroyed due to drought conditions in Solapur

Solapur, Dec 30 (ANI): Farmers in the Solapur District of Maharashtra were tearful after their maize crops were destroyed due to drought. Maize forms an important crop in Solapur. Farmers claimed the reason behind the failure of crops was shortage of water. Farmers have been asking the government for assistance but till now no help has been rendered. Survival for the farmers has become a tough issue in this region due to scarcity of water.
