Maná kick off US tour to entice Latinos to vote

Members of Maná, the Spanish-language rock pop band, are embarking on what they hope will be their most influential series of performances – the “Latino Power Tour” in the United States – where they will encourage the Latino community to use their power at the polls in the upcoming presidential election. The band from Guadalajara, Mexico has always been vocal about denouncing violence and corruption in Mexico, but due to the attacks to the Mexican community from Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, Maná feel that their influence can make a difference in the U.S. as well. For The “Latino Power Tour,” Maná will be performing a new set that will span their greatest career hits to their latest chart-topping songs from their 9th album, “Cama Incendiada” (Bed on Fire). At the same time they have partnered with organizations like Voto Latino and local advocates to provide both the inspiration and information needed to the Latino community so they can have their voices count in the presidential election in November. Maná has earned four Grammy Awards, eight Latin Grammy Awards and sold over 40 million copies. “The Latino Power Tour,” which kicked off on September 9th in San Diego, will play in 18 major arenas in the US, ending on November 13 in Los Angeles, California.
