Minor’s heart flown from Thiruvananthapuram to Kochi to save life

Thiruvananthapuram, July 19 (ANI): The heart of a 15-year-old boy, who was declared brain-dead after he met with a road accident, was transported from Thiruvananthapuram city to Kochi city for organ transplant on Tuesday. According to reports, the minor’s heart was airlifted and will be transplanted to Peripartum Cardiomyopathy (PPCM) patient. A doctor associated with Kerala Network for Organ Sharing (KNOS), Noble, said the liver and kidneys of the minor were also donated. Victim’s father agreed on donating his organs as it would give new life to someone.
