Mislabeled pills at Prince estate reportedly contained fentanyl

An investigation has reportedly found that mislabeled pills in Prince’s Paisley Park estate contained the highly addictive opioid, fentanyl, suggesting that the music icon may have ingested the drug without knowing.

This comes two months after an autopsy revealed that Prince died from a fentanyl overdose.

It’s reported that at least one of the pills of some two dozen tested positive for the drug.

Fentanyl is far more more powerful than heroin. It was developed for use in anesthesia.

In the case of Prince, the pills were reportedly mislabeled as “Watson 385,” indicating that they were supposed to contain a mix of acetaminophen and hydrocodone.

Authorities are investigating how exactly Prince obtained the drugs.
