Mixed reactions to Malda violence

Sharing is Caring

Ranchi/New Delhi, Jan 16 (ANI): Communist Party of India Marxist (CPI-M) leader Brinda Karat on Saturday asserted that the violence in West Bengal’s Malda district was a revolt which was being exploited by few extremist groups. Karat further said that the West Bengal Government is trying to suppress the Malda issue instead of ordering an enquiry into it. Congress leader Rajeev Shukla, however, said Malda was clearly a case of communal harmony being disturbed.
