Mob torches police station in Bareilly

Bareilly, Nov 12 (ANI): A mob set a police station in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, on fire following the death of local thieves in their custody. The police had earlier raided a gambling den where two gamblers were taken into custody. Police claimed that the two men were trying to escape and jumped into an adjacent river and drowned. After news of their death was circulated, a violent clash took place between the police and local residents in Bareilly. Relatives of the deceased threw stones at the police station and set it on fire.
